I was going through some articles trying to figure out what to write about and I came across "Dangerous Curves" by Hermann Zapf. The article mainly discusses the way Doyald Young utilizes typography and creates his own from curves of his stroke. The images I saw were really intricate design notions. The interviewer then comments on the "sensibility of Young's book" and the "intense scrutiny to demonstrate Young's dedication to type, nuance, and the human hand in design."
He's interested in demonstrating the process as much as the final finessed product of each typeface and logotype designed.
