On Thursday October 16, 2008 my Practices of Design Class took a field trip day. We made a couple of stops at different studios. The firs stop was at Anabliss. A graphic design firm located in Denver, all about brand identity which in turn makes them a stronger and more capable company to expand their horizon. They pry themselves on creating something amazingly simple to form the core identity for their client. Mr. Coffman described his title and went into detail of what he does as well describing how he gets things done. He envisions the design world to head more and more towards the web realm which puts a smile on my face personally simply because my senior project is all about human-computer interaction via the web.
The other stop was Ironton Studios where we met with artist and painter Hadley Hooper. She took us on a tour of her studio and workspace. She discussed her process of work from the state of thought to the publishing stages.
The trip gave me a thread of an image of the place I would want to work in once I’m out of school.
